Yesterday marked the first day of Dine L.A. I had already made my reservations over a week ago, and have been really excited to come here. Since I had heard good things from friends who had been here before. When I walked in the restaurant I completely fell in love with the decor. You could tell there was a lot of thoughtful planning and design put into this place. Starting from the Host area to the bar. Along with the tables, chairs, light fixtures, chandaliers, mirrors, and plants. Everything was detailed. When you visit a place like this, one can only hope that the food is just as presentable and worthy of eating. We started out our first course with Albacore Carpaccio, Deviled Jidori Eggs, and Tempura Fried Green Beans. They were all so wonderful in flavor, but the Jidori Deviled Eggs was fantastic. It was a taste I didn't expect and was a nice surprise. It had Korean Chili, Sesame Seed and Kimchee. Our second course we chose a 7oz Mesquite Grilled Burger with (Gruyere Cheese, Bacon and Fries) and Plancha Seared Ocean Trout (White Wine Braised Cabbage, Potatoes and Grain Mustard Jus). I had not had a burger in a while and this was the fanciest burger I have eaten. The trout was a little salty, but overall I still enjoyed eating it. Next up dessert, a cookie board of 7 different types (Snicker Doodle, Carrot, Coconut, Brownie, Chocolate Chip, Blondie and Double Chocolate Chip). Great variety and you can't beat the price of $25pp. Today marked the beginning and it certainly will not be my last.
